SEO case study

Our own site fleet: what we measured.

Before we sell SEO, we run it on our own money. This is our own fleet of websites, built and grown with the same engine we use for clients, measured in Google Search Console, Stripe and our lead database on 29 October 2026. Every figure is dated, sourced and rounded down, and we show what went down as well as what went up.

Three sources, never added together. Search Console counts free Google search only, Stripe counts paid orders, the lead database counts people who left their e-mail with consent.

From zero

From no sale to 42 orders in a month

Until 24 September 2026, no site of the fleet had taken a single payment through its Stripe account. The first order came that day, on our online training site. In the 30 days to 28 October 2026 the fleet took 42 paid orders on 12 different sites, none refunded or disputed: training courses, PDF guides, exam revision packs, letter templates, drone and pet guides.

Most of the money comes from one site, and we say so: formations-obligatoires.fr took 16 of the 42 orders and most of the revenue. It is also the only site of the fleet that runs Google Ads (157 paid clicks against 35 free Google clicks in the same 28 days), so we do not present its sales as an SEO result. The other 11 selling sites run no ads: their buyers came from free search, direct visits and e-mail.

Best progressions, and what went down

Impressions and clicks, 29 September to 26 October 2026 against 1 to 28 September. Half of the fleet (19 sites) was launched at the end of September and had no earlier data; on the 19 sites already live before, impressions went from 104,000+ to 270,000+ and clicks from 1,300+ to 2,700+. 13 of them went up, 6 went down.

How we measure

The same rules we apply when we report to a client.

  1. Search Console through the API

Every property of the fleet, totals by page, two 28-day windows side by side. The last two days are left out because Google has not finalised them.

  2. Stripe, read-only

Successful payments only, from the fleet's own Stripe account. A client invoice paid into the same account is left out. No buyer name or e-mail is kept in the count.

  3. Leads without tests

Consented rows of our lead database; our own addresses, test addresses and test sources are removed before counting.

  4. Rounded down, dated

Every figure is rounded down and carries the date it was read. When we measure again, the date changes with the number.

  5. Organic, ads and sales apart

Free clicks, paid clicks and orders come from three systems. We never add them up or credit an ad sale to SEO.

  6. Drops shown too

A case study that only shows the winners is an advert. Sites that went down stay in the table.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • Are these client results?

No. Every site in this case study belongs to us. We do not publish client results or client names; this is the proof we can show without breaking that rule.

  • Did all the sales come from SEO?

No. One training site, which took 16 of the 42 orders in the last 30 days, also runs Google Ads, so we do not count its sales as an SEO result. The other selling sites run no ads.

  • Why do some figures end with a plus sign?

They are rounded down: 3,500+ means at least 3,500 and fewer than 3,600. We never round up or extrapolate.

  • Will my site get the same numbers?

Nobody can promise that. These are our sites, our topics and our timing. What we can promise is the method: a dated starting point, the same three sources, and drops reported as plainly as gains.

Want the same method on your site?

We start with a dated baseline of your Search Console, your leads and your sales, then report against it.
